Sallaum Humanitarian Foundation Expands its Programs to North Lebanon
In a collaborative effort with the Salloum Humanitarian Foundation, Future Sprouts for Creativity, and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture in Tripoli, North Lebanon, the Salloum Humanitarian Foundation recently organized a comprehensive two-day workshop on “Project Cycle Management and Grant Proposal Writing.” This transformative event, held in Tripoli, North Lebanon, left a lasting impression on participants, equipping them with valuable knowledge and practical skills.
Throughout the workshop, participants delved into the fundamental principles of project management. Sessions covered effective project development, exploring its various phases, and conducting in-depth analysis of its lifecycle. Participants left with a clear understanding of the complexities of successful project management.
A key focus of the workshop was providing participants with essential tools for effectively identifying problems. Through empowerment techniques, attendees gained the skills to directly address challenges, ensuring a proactive and informed approach to project management.
The journey continued with an exploration of effective grant proposal writing, where participants delved into donor mapping and the keys to successful proposals. A comprehensive explanation of SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) that could impact project success was also provided. A logical framework offering a structured approach to project design and evaluation was presented.
Recognizing the importance of practical skills, the workshop went beyond theoretical discussions. Participants actively engaged in practical activities and discussions, honing their communication, public speaking, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, among many others. This approach ensured that the knowledge gained was not merely theoretical but also applicable to real-world project scenarios.
Furthermore, risk management was a central theme of the workshop, equipping participants with the tools to anticipate, mitigate, and respond to potential challenges in their projects. This focus on risk management not only ensures well-planned projects but also fosters resilience in the face of unforeseen obstacles.
